Really enjoyed the story line and the witty dialogue between the characters. I read Alaska book and found out that the story line continued in this book with the new love story. Without giving anything away the Alaska book should be read next by readers. Very cleaver and satisfying to learn what happened, some characters just don't end which is classic Janet Dailey books.
Tells why kids keep us together! Also the love of a father. Janet always describes relationships in great detail with the right humor.
This story is about a woman that is divorced with a son trying to adjust to the hurt she fills because she is still in love with her husband
. When he returns to visit their son, they realize they still love each other even though he tells his ex-wife that he is about to be married.
I borrowed For Mike's Sake from the local public library.

Maggie and Wade are divorced and have a ten-year-old son, Mike. He lives in Alaska and she lives in Seattle, Washington and Wade is back for the first time in the four year they have been divorced for a visit. He has a big surprise when he tells Maggie he is planning to get married to another woman within a month after kissing her passionately in her bedroom.

Maggie has red hair and flashing green eyes and a temper, which Wade sparks often. The one thing they have in common is Mike and their concern for him. The humor and conflict is often funny with Mike enjoying parts of it as only a young man can when his parents' tempers flash. This is a great second chance story where Maggie and Wade discover they still love each other before it is too late, but not For Mike's Sake but because it is true love.
Jeez has anyone at your publisher's ever heard of proof reading? Might want to encourage it if not. The story itself was entertaining enough for a quick read to pass a little time once you settled in and figured out what words were missing or just plain wrong...
