A nice little reunion romance with hot Spanish hero and sweet English heroine. Twelve months ago, Merle and Rico met each other at a crucial time in their lives when both were vulnerable.

It was an innocent friendship in Merle’s part but a connection was made and she was disappointed when Rico vanished without saying goodbye.

Now she is back in Spain, hoping to purchase a holiday home for her family in the place she has such fond memories of. When things go wrong, it’s Rico who is there to help. But he isn’t the kind man she met last summer.

Turns out he found out she was married with a child and he thinks she is an unfaithful woman who married an older man for money and was interested in an affair with a Spanish hotty. As you do.

I really enjoyed this story and watching as things are revealed. The ending was satisfying.

Rico felt only contempt for her now

Once it had been different. "There was a time," he said, "when I would have given everything I possessed for the pleasure of taking you to my bed and loving you."

His statement offered no comfort to Merle now. Not when unfortunate circumstances had forced her to return to Spain to seek help from the cynical, handsome Rico de Montilla.

How could she ever convince him that she was not the mercenary, unfeeling woman he believed her to be?
