Enjoyed for the history she always includes. Interesting how women were treated during these eras. Good read. One to buy.

Dissatisfied with the arrangement made by her new step-mother, Melissa Weldon decided to escape the unpleasant situation by disguising as her best friend's companion, a young ward of the Duke of Aldwick. But as Melissa spent more time with the aloof, cynical, and commanding duke, she found that her heart was captured by the unexpected.

The story was like a fairy tale, very sweet and pleasant to read. Ms. Cartland's writing ability was definitely magical, unfortunately, there were some minor irritations caused an imperfect score: spelling errors, slightly disorganized time lines, and too frequent stammering of the heroine, made her appeared slow and disrupted the flow of the pace. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed it very much.
