This was a required textbook for a beginning statistics class. Though it is probably just what is needed for some on an advanced level it is not easy to read or use for a beginner. What is helpful is that there are lots of tables and charts to help explain different aspects is statistics including step by step instructions on how to use SPSS.

This book was rated as in 'very good' condition with the cover slightly worn. Not only is the cover wrinkled, but many pages in the book are shriveled as if damaged by water. I certainly am disappointed in the condition of this book; I would have ordered the one listed as 'good' or 'fair' because I am sure they were in better condition than this one!

I have been expected to use this book for 3 semesters of biostatistics. Each semester I attempt to do the readings in the book, but I inevitably give up, more confused than when I started. It is all I can do to not throw it across the room. It is unbelievable to me that a book could be published with so many errors. And I'm not just talking about the endless grammatical issues. Many of the formulas are just wrong! Not a good match for someone who is working hard to understand statistics.
This book is full of errors. I have just finished spending semester with this book as a required text for statistics and much of the time was spent correcting computational errors found throughout... Would love to get my money back.

I will say that the authours did do a good job of making the subject easy to understand though. Maybe wait for a later edition.
