I picked up a few things...mostly about online dating and how to "gut" my profile. Apparently men (according to the book) have the attention spans of a gnat so you should only write 3-4 lines on your profile! Or they will think you require to much work and move to the next. I thought this was crap...but I did it and I have received 2-3x's the amount of responses. I have actually worked with the REAL Match Makers infact my coach was THE Steve Ward and I have to say I learned more (which wasn't tons) from this book than the sessions I had and I won't tell you how much LESS MONEY it costs me...and no one yelled at me, made me cry, or made me feel like I was a worthless p.o.s. If you are thinking of spending your money on the service...save it. I wished I would have paid on my student loans (YEAH, it's that much money)

It's worth a twirl.

I have never watched the TV show, so I did not know what to expect. The book is just OK, but easy and enjoyable to read. It has both the male and female perspective, and that is always great. It is well written, simply organised, and has good advice. However, it is nothing new. Something you have already heard/read gazillion times if you have ever used any dating and relationship book. What I call granny's recipe, a bit revamped, which is great for modern generation-Y girls who have lost all that knowledge we used to get. But nothing really new or wow.

As I am recently back out into the dating scene, a lot has changed and I chose this book based on how I enjoy their show Tough Love on MTV. This book is like the ultimate source of "cheat notes" of what to do or not do during the phases of dating. I feel like its a great guide on the tips that they use during their show.
It would be great if this kind of book & show was done for men!
I feel like there are all these books to help women yet using these tips and it seems that men are even more clueless than women are....so there is a disconnect.

its a quick read and gets the root of how to find love. Great advice and I loved it cause it was a quick read, no one has time to read for days on how to find love. Its a great crash course..read it and quickly get out there and apply the information

Concentrates mainly on the initial meeting phase of a relationship. Too bad these books can't fix the problem that in a society where we are taught that "everything goes" you meet so many at risk weirdos that you should avoid. It can be hard to determine who is too out of line and who is not.

I really like all of the Tough Love shows, but the book wasn't that great. It's written like bullet points- a chapter for topics such as dating, sex, etc., and the preceding pages are a couple of paragraphs about each sub point on that topic. There were a few insightful points made, but otherwise it was pretty much common sense. Stick to watching the show, it's free and you'll get all the pointers there.

wish they would bring the show back
Great book for those dating!
