I really enjoyed God is a Woman. It is an extremely entertaining book and offers excellent advice without coming across as being preachy.

They were too long for a standup routine, so he offered to write that routine in a book. I really enjoyed God is a Woman. It's more of a biography of the successful lessons learnt from failure than it is a self-help book, but it offers just as much advice on picking up women as any other book out there.

I loved this book! I picked it up on the recommendation from a friend who said it had good advice about picking up girls... well, that's true, but the book is so much more than that. Ian Coburn is a master writer and has a really fun story to tell about his life. If you read the book, you will learn some cool tips about picking up girls, but you will learn a bigger lesson about how to better relate to people in general. Love the book, its hilarious and taught me a lot.

I found Ian's writing style to be very easy to read, I got through the book in a day. The self learnt advise is very honest, straight forward and based on his own dating experiences (no surveys or psychoanalytical data quoted throughout the book thankfully) I'd say Ian has a good knack for reading people, their motivations and quirks which is useful for the reader be they male or female.

As a female reader I really enjoyed the read especially because the book doesn't speak down to us, it doesn't leave you feeling crap, self conscious or inadequate like many other dating books that basically continues to feed the insane and desperate dating behaviour many women as a result of reading adopt ie: dress and act like everything you're not and you'll nab a man. It also gives great insight into the behaviour and thought process of men, I particularly liked and could relate to Ian's references to 'wanna-be-dating' male friends...guys who hang about acting like just a friend to a woman while subversively sabotaging her dating chances for their own potential gain.

Read Ian's book if you want a grounded, regular guys type of approach and advice on dating.

I wasn't looking for anything insightful or something that would fill my heart with "depth" which is why I liked this book. I could not put it down frankly, and I enjoyed his dating adventures. I laughed a lot because what Ian wrote was true. If you are a guy, you'd find yourself in one of his predicaments -- and if you happen to be female, you'd laugh when you recognize that "something like this happened w/ some guy you once dated." If you have a wry sense of humor, you'd love it because it's so raw and filled with everything unpredictable that can happen when you date a guy (and I guess vice versa for guys). Would recommend for those who want a good laugh.

As someone who recently went thorough a difficult break-up, this book was exactly what the doctor order. Ian Coburn takes you through the highs and lows of his dating life, while providing lessons of what he learned from those experiences. His lessons were not groundbreaking, but they had been forgotten by me. Things like: not being afraid of rejection, not falling for trixies, or not ignoring red flags. The book is very easy to read, and would be enjoyed by men and women of all ages. His stories and experiences are easy to relate to. His ability to laugh at his failures and subtly commend his successes was impressive. Don't expect this book to your holy grail of "how to pick up women", expect this book to provide you reminders to extremely valuable lessons that you may have learned years ago, but forgotten over time.

Hilarious and helpful, this should be the book EVERY father gives his son when he is coming of age.

The reader will (A) Realize every man goes through strange & awkward experiences when it comes to women (B) Learn A TON about how to have success and fun in dating & relationships.

Simultaneously entertaining & educational, best book I've ever read about dating, hands down.

This book offers so much insight into the minds of both men and women, it could qualify as a psychology textbook. The humor is mostly droll, and used to help the reader see his own foibles and learn from them. It is extremely entertaining and to the very last offers useful and meaningful information.

The last chapter caps off with a powerful self evaluation, something a recent reviewer (who complained about God being annoyed) probably never read. The book's take on morality (enjoy life without hurting people) I think is spot on.

This book would be profoundly useful for those who are having trouble getting any dates at all, and those that continually have painful outcomes. Men or women. And for those who are dating but want to make things better, read it and enjoy. Make sure you read to the last chapter...
It was an enjoyable read. Nothing life changing, and probably will not read it again. I had a difficult time relating to some of Ian's stories, but different strokes for different folks...
