Radical Ecopsychology is a thoughtful and sophisticated discussion of a new direction which the science of psychology might take; it raises important issues, and I think everyone in the field would benefit from reading it. The reader from Berkeley touched on what is probably the central.

Radical Ecopsychology is a thoughtful and sophisticated discussion of a new direction which the science of psychology might take; it raises important issues, and I think everyone in the field would benefit from reading it. The reader from Berkeley touched on what is probably the central issue, with the (incorrect) observation that the book . .suffers from the naivite of believing that Cartesian dualism can be resolved with a simple reference to an 'embodied self'"

Greatly inspirational. Lots of references to explore. "Holistic" in Radical Ecopsychology is all inclusive, our enviroment and our human nature are once again brought into alighnment with great clarity. I loved the first edition and the second edition promices to be just as illuminating. Lots of insights and meaningful connections. I found it instructive and transformative. I deeply appreciate all the hard work that went into it.

Fisher gives a tour de force on ecopsychology in my view. I read this book some years back but like others he delivers the goods. At the heart of this book is a deep understanding that the interface between humans and nature is primary font to healing, and psychic health.

People are hard wired to nature and were not meant to break the connection with nature, To do so leads to bad consequences on multiple and holistic levels. After reading most of the books on ecopsychology years back, I am surprised that there has not been more published in our contemporary moment and unsure why this is the case.

But if this is a subject of interest to you, this is a great book to start, or re read again.
