The owners of the house, seven dwarfs, find her .

The owners of the house, seven dwarfs, find her there when they return from work and decide that she should stay - and that she should be very careful from now on. When an old woman comes to the cottage, offering Snow White an apple, she fails to see the harm until it's too late. Unlike recent reads from Disney/Golden Books, Snow White hits every important note of the original without seeming hurried. This book captures all of the magic of Walt Disney's Snow White and transfers it to the pop-ups and pull tabs that children as young as two can joyfully discover for themselves.

I first saw this beautiful book from Viking Press in a "B. Dalton's" store thirty years ago. I wanted it then, but I couldn't afford it. Since then, there have been many books celebrating Walt Disney's first full-length animated feature "Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs" (1937), but I never forgot this stunning edition. I was delighted to see it was still available from Amazon Sellers. I bought a Used copy, at a very affordable price, that is in mint condition.
This coffee-table edition presents the story of "Snow White" using the same exquisite, gorgeous printing and lettering style as the oversized storybook seen at the beginning of each of Walt Disney's fairy tale features. The text of the famous fairy tale is accompanied by numerous drawings, sketches, character model sheets and storyboards. Some illustrations are even full-page and in full color. You can see how the characters and the film itself evolved over the three year production period. Also incuded is a detailed account (by Steve Huelett) of the film's difficult production history. The film, initially called "Disney's folly" by industry "know it all's", received unanimous critical praise and is now regarded as a major milestone, and one of the most cherished classics, in cinema history.
This definitive celebration of "Snow White" is a must-have item for all fans of classic animation and classic films.

What a shame this book is out of print. I was so happy to get it for my grandchildren as this is the book I had for their mom when she was growing up. Best version of the story I've seen.
