A few months have passed since Alison was cleared of the murder that ocurred at the small, secluded college where she works. It has been about as long since Alison last saw her married (sort of) boyfriend Detective Bobby Crawford. Alison is busy with teaching, and getting ready for her BFF Max's wedding. As always, Alison runs into one surprise after another, especially since she is trying to help find out who murdered her ex husband.

And although we were in the midst of a murder investigation in which I played a major role, we had commenced on a bit of a romantic journey, one that had been cut short by my discovery of the lovely Mrs. Crawford, his estranged, but very much legally married, spouse. Mrs. Crawford, who apparently was also a stickler for Church law; she refused to divorce Crawford until he agreed to an annulment, a bureaucratic get out of jail free card for divorcing Catholics.

This is the second of the Allison Bergeron mysteries and the third one I have read. (After reading No. 6, I decided to read them all in order.) I find this amateur sleuth particularly interesting, and it is not because I admire her work on campus. As a college professor, she is not all that admirable. (She admits to being boring in the classroom, and being boring is a cardinal sin in academe. Fortunately, she is anything but boring outside the classroom. Maybe she missed her calling.) I find her delightfully funny. In this story, her romance with Bobby Crawford begins to flourish, despite one dramatic setback for the sex-starved couple. Some storyline twists and turns keep the reader guessing. I'm looking forward to No. 3.

This is the second installment of Maggie Barbieri's murder mystery/comedy/love story series about college professor and part-time sleuth Alison Bergeron. It's an excellent follow-up to "Murder 101"

In "Extracurricular Activities" there is more of just about everything; more dead mangled bodies, more suspects, more lascivious chit chat. There's less of Alison fainting; but that's a good thing.

It's another breezy, fun read, and I confess that I was totally wrong about who the perps were. I won't explain, since that would give things away, but I can say that if you like fast-reading entertainment in the mystery genre, you'll enjoy this book.

I can't wait for #3 in the series.

The sparks fly from the very beginning of this book between Alison and a straight laced detective. You want them to get together, but circumstances keep interfering. You will be cheering for the main character when things go her way. You will laugh at her antics, but you will never be bored reading any of the books in this series. Buy this book and you won't regret it.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series Murder 101 and this book is a continuation of Alison's life. I enjoyed the look into life as a college professor in a small catholic school and the political games that happen whenever humans are forced to work together. But that was just a very small, but interesting back drop to the story. I have read so many romances and mystery novels that I enjoy the differences more than others might. I was totally surprised at the end of the novel as I certainly didn't predict the ending. It is a very good and fun read and I am looking forward to her next book!

This is a fun read! It's almost like the absent minded professor but not quite! She gets in quite a jam at times, but Crawford comes to her aid! A just plain fun story!!

Well written, fun read. Maggie Barbieri has written an easily read series about an English professor with a propensity for finding dead bodies and getting into trouble.
This was a delightful and quick read. The characters are likable and the plot realistic and funny. I have already bought the next book and I'm looking forward to reading it.
