Another photograph, framed and standing at the edge of the pile, showed the father from the other pictures, in his youth, and a pretty black woman with an Afro.

The other brother, . The Other Brother, . Another photograph, framed and standing at the edge of the pile, showed the father from the other pictures, in his youth, and a pretty black woman with an Afro. They sat at a table in one of those Japanese hibachi restaurants, smiling as if they would be young and beautiful forever. He didn't know why he'd pulled out the pictures.

It took all his strength to stay on his feet. Still wearing her hospital scrubs, Dana stood beside the door, arms knotted over her bosom. Her face was as tight as a fist 't know. He spread his hands helplessly. I'm as shocked as you are""Bullshit," she said. Who've you been cheating on me with?""I haven't been cheating on you! I swear i. "Then how do you explain this?". She banged her fist against the door.

In his latest novel, Massey proves once again that he is a master of the supernatural suspense thriller. Thirty-year-old Gabriel Reid is the consummate buppie, and he has it all. Gorgeous house of his own in an affluent Atlanta neighborhood, a beautiful, successful fiancee, and the perfect family; a loving, God-fearing mother, wonderful sister, and a father who heads a very successful corporation that he has built from the ground up. Gabe idolizes his father, and knows that he is on the fast track to head his father's company upon his retirement. But perfection is never reality, as Gabe soon realizes, in the form of a young man who shows up in his office one day bearing a startling resemblance to him. The man, Isaiah Battle, claims to be Gabe's brother, born to his father out of wedlock with a Chicago woman during a tryst while in the city on business. Gabe is shocked; even more so when he realizes that the life that Isaiah has lived is the complete opposite of his own. Raised in the projects, Isaiah has built his life around being a survivor. He has never worked a legitimate job in his life, has been in and out of legal trouble, and most recently finished a stint in prison for robbery. And although Isaiah claims to just want the opportunity to know his father now that his mother is dead, Gabe is doubtful; unfortunately, the guilt-ridden T. L. Reid welcomes his long-lost son into the lives of him and his family. It soon becomes clear that Isaiah's motives are those of revenge; for having to struggle to survive with his mother while his father and his family lived a life of privilege. And in addition to the Isaiah problem, Gabe has discovered that on the heels of a recent car accident he has acquired the ability to move physical objects--simply by using his mind. It's a gift, and one that will soon become quite handy in his family's struggle with the Other Brother--especially when it becomes quite clear that Isaiah has a few gifts of his own.....

With never a dull moment, Massey's newest contribution is quite the pageturner. Just when readers think that they have this tale all figured out....there comes yet another twist. A great, edge-of-your seat thriller. I see movies in Massey's future.....

????????????????????????
I enjoyed reading "The Other Brother" for an upcoming book club meetup. It was a very good read. I never at any point wanted to put it down. This book made it much easier to wait in line anywhere. In fact, the longer the wait, the better, so I could read more of the book. I gained insight into life in Atlanta. We saw what it was to be rich and of color in Atlanta and what it was like to be poor and of color in Chicago and on the wrong end of the law. However, nothing really prepared the reader, at least not until after 80% of the book had been completed, for the revelation at the end.
I gave the book 4 stars because I felt it could have been more meticulously edited, vis a vis grammar and writing style. Otherwise, it was a great book and I love how Brandon Massey tells a story. I would definitely read another of his books and recommend that others read "The Other Brother."

I really enjoyed this book. Isaiah was a crazy man, and he was out for revenge. Gabriel is skeptical of Isaiah and he makes it his business to find out all he can about the guy.........but things aren't what they seem.

The Other Brother is the first book I have read by Brandon Massey. It is an excellent book - mainly because his characters are real. That is my first judgment of any book. I want to know & care about the characters. It isn't an easy thing for a writer to do it seems. There are not many that can do it as well as Stephen King & Dean Koontz but Brandon Massey does it very well. I will be watching for him on the New York Times Best Seller list. I have also ordered another book by him. Thank you for a very good read!

"The Other Brother" is a good book for those who enjoy horror with a twist. Brandon Massey introduces to the reader excitement, intrigue, murder, the occult, mystery and sharper goose bumps. Often I thought I had the answer to the mystery and then realized that I didn't have the answer and had to slow my reading (and my heart) down a bit.

This is an excellent book to read during long distance traveling or just enjoying an evening at home.

"The Other Brother" is not the brother I would want in my family and neither would you. It is best that he stays in between the lines of your imagination.

I highly recommend this book.

My book club has read a couple of Brandon Massey's books and we like his style. The characters were realistic and flawed. So many books fall into the same type of stories about relationships, either lovers, friends or family with somewhat predictable endings. The supernatural plot twists keep you guessing and are different and credible.Definitely a page turner. We rated it a 5- Excellent.

I am a big fan of Massey and have been every since Within The Shadows and Don't Ever Tell. He is an excellent writer with a talent for taking your mind right into the story being told with a way of making you feel you are right there with these demented people. This is a book about secrets that come to light in a very dangerous way. Sometimes we think we can keep those secrets buried away but they always know how to peak their ugly head at the most inopportune time.
A great page turner with enough mystery and plot twists to keep you up all night. Brandon Massey is a superb writer.
