María del Socorro Tellado López, known as Corín Tellado, was a prolific Spanish writer of romantic novels and photonovels. The nearby book retailer proposed she send it to the distributers Bruguera in Barcelona. They started publishing with the book, Daring Bet (Atrevida Apuesta), and offered her an agreement to convey a novel every week which has atleast 76 pages. She continued to do this till Bruguera's breakdown in 1985 discharged her from the agreement's draconian terms: in 1973 she lost a claim brought by Bruguera against her after she declined to sign contract augmentations.

Prolific Spanish romantic novelist. Many believed that the romantic novelist Corín Tellado, who has died aged 81, was a publishing house, like Mills & Boon. Yet she was just one person, despite producing some 4,000 novels in a 63-year writing career. She was the biggest-selling novelist of the 20th century, selling some 400m books in Spain and Latin America. Tellado grew up in a fishing village in the Asturias region on Spain's northern coast and her father worked as an engineer in the merchant navy.

After suffering the devastating consequences of drug abuse, twelve youths decide to overcome their addiction on their own. Leading the group is Simón who, when inheriting a house in a deserted town, decides to take advantage of this opportunity to start a new life. The group of friends will rebuild the house, farm the land and give each other the support needed to recover. A difficult journey where death, betrayal, suffering and pain walk hand in hand with solidarity, generosity, friendship and, above all, love.
