It alone is worth the price of the book. The part of the book I thought best analyzed the effects of introduced crops like the yam and corn. The second half is essentially a reference work with a listing of all the tribes we know, grouping them into culture areas with concise descriptions of the area with indications of diversity where that occurs.

The Arabs crossed into North Africa in the 7th century AD. The following article will cover some information on their culture and introduce you to this beautiful continent.
