The 2010–11 Chicago Blackhawks season was the 85th season for the National Hockey League franchise that was established on September 25, 1926. The team was nicknamed the "Hangover 'Hawks" for having to recover from winning the franchise's first Stanley Cup in 49 years while adapting to the loss of several players from that team due to salary cap restrictions. The Blackhawks succumbed to the Presidents' Trophy-winning Vancouver Canucks in seven games in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Love anything that has lots of pictures about the Blackhawks. My family and I have been fans long before they won the Stanley Cup and it is so great to have a book full of all of the facts to remind us of what a great year it was!

I would have thought "Hawkeytown" ,written on 128 pages by the Chicago Tribune, would have had reprints of a few articles after great victories along the Cup trail. It does not.
I would have thought there would have been at least one picture of every member of the team. There are no pictures of several Hawks.
I would have expected a page or two of complete stats - both regular season and playoffs. Perhaps even final standings and an elimination bracket showing how the Hawks and Flyers got there. Instead there is a so-so 2 pages of very limited summary of the Blackhawks playoff stats.
I could care less about the six pages of Hawks fans in Hawks regalia. I am a fan. I know what Hawks wear looks like and I don't know any of the people in the pictures.
I would have liked pictures of the rally downtown. There are none.
This book, obviously hastily thrown together to make money, doesn't convey much of the excitement which surrounds this 1st -cup-in-49-years.
It doesn't suck. But it's not far from it. The photography isn't even that great. Save your money and get one of many less expensive souvenir magazines at the grocery store. They'll be at least as good. 2 1/2 stars.

I bought this for my husband's birthday right after they won the Stanley Cup. Since my husband is a devoted Blackhawks fan and hockey player, it was the ideal gift and he just loved it.

This book has a bunch of good pictures and has profiles for each player. It also discusses each playoff series.
Its a good book if you're a Hawks fan.
